Brad Goreski is a celebrity stylist, E! “Fashion Police” host and Diet Coke fan. Brad’s A-list clients have included Jessica Alba, Christina Ricci, Stacy Keibler, Demi Moore, Minka Kelly, and Rashinda Jones, among others.
Jim and Brynne got to talk with Brad about the trends you have to try this spring and who he’s looking forward to seeing on the red carpet this weekend.
Brynne: So Brad you know spring is coming up and we just had New York Fashion Week. What are the hottest trends that we should be investing in?
Brad: Well I think one of the big trends we’ve been seeing, we saw in the fall, in the spring/summer collections is color. And so I think that’s going to carry over as well, we’re seeing it on the red carpets a lot and it’s one of my favorite trends. And I think there’s a lot of you know a little bit of fear around people incorporating color into their wardrobe and for me I think the best way to do that is through your accessories. So whether that’s a great statement necklace or a bright pair of shoes or a day bag, I think you know those are the way to go to amp up your wardrobe that won’t break the bank.
Brynne: If we are going to a color for the first time and like you said fearful of working that into our wardrobe, is there maybe one go to color maybe for spring that you recommend for people giving a try?
Brad: Yeah I think one of my favorite colors for spring is coral. There’s been a lot of really beautiful coral pieces. We actually have many of them here in New York at the Diet Coke Fashion House and it’s a really bright color that pops and goes really well with all skin tones.
Jim: I do know that many of us feel like “Oh I don’t have the body to wear that or I never fit into things that look good on movie stars.” What would you say to the rest of us who want to amp up our fashion?
Brad: Well you know I think what’s great about the red carpet is you know looking at the looks you would consider your best dressed and trying out some of those trends. That’s also a good way to gauge the colors that you want to try out. So you know it doesn’t necessarily have to break the bank if you want to incorporate that color in a scarf or hat or a pair of gloves or a pair of shoes, I think that that’s probably the best way to try out a trend and also you know keep some money in your wallet as well.
Brynne: And Brad what is this thing I hear about being able to win a wardrobe picked by you? How can I get this?

Brad: I would say Cate Blanchett. You know she’s so regal and wears such incredible designs and looks so beautiful, I’m excited to see what she’s going to have for us.
