Your Fitness Personality
Having trouble finding ways to stay fit? Do you find yourself saying “I just don’t have time to go to the gym today.”. Kathleen Trotter, author of the book “Finding Your Fit“, shares great tips to finding your fitness personality, empowering you to add fitness to your day.
What’s Your Fitness Personality?
Why do you go to the gym? Is it a place where you can be social, or an escape from the busy world outside? Whatever the reason, the easiest way to fit fitness into your day is to piggyback it into your daily routine.
- If you walk your dog, turn it into a pacing exercise. Walk faster to the next stop sign.
- When Watching your child’s athletic game, bring a yoga mat and do squats and lunges as you watch the game.
- Find ways to work more steps into your day such as taking the stairs instead of the elevator.
“Finding Your Fit” includes exercises you can do in a chair.
Also it is important to pay attention to the ingredients you eat everyday. Especially watch out for unhealthy “Healthy” foods that carry extra sugar like:
- Granola Bars
- Yogurt
- Smoothies from Restaurants
- Muffins
