HER FIRST LOVE: FOOD!
Growing up in a large, food-loving family of nine, Marlene has always been surrounded by food. “My mother practically lived in the kitchen, and at the age of 89 still loves nothing more than big family dinners,” says Marlene. By the time she was a teen Marlene found her own niche in the kitchen by taking culinary classes and following her sweet tooth to become the family baker.
Since then, Marlene’s skills and extraordinary talent for cooking has turned into a lifelong passion. Marlene has not only joined her mother in the kitchen, she has added her own healthy twist. She states, “Like most families today my family’s dietary needs are as varied as their personalities, yet not a single family member wants to give up the great taste of the flavors they love.
