Based in the city of Melbourne, Michael Burrows is an original Country, Folk, Rock artist. On the upcoming, Michael Burrows has toured Nationally & Internationally, collaborated with numerous artists including Neil Finn (Crowded House), hit the charts and been played on a plethora of commercial, community, alternative radio networks around Australia and overseas. Michael’s music has been described as a fusion of musical genres with hints of artists such as The Beatles, Wilco, Eagles and Ron Sexsmith. From intimate solo shows to full band performances, his songs are deceptively simple about complex things: love, family, home, and trust. Most recently he has been co-writing with Grammy-award winning artist Frank Myers who penned I Swear (John Michael Montgomery’s version was #1 for 4 weeks on the Country charts. All 4 One’s version was #1 on the Pop charts for 11 weeks). Other Myers hits include I’m Already There’ and My Front Porch Looking In (Lonestar) and ‘You and I’ (Crystal Gale/ Eddie Rabbitt). Michael recently returned from recording new tracks in Nashville at famed Ocean Way Studios. In addition to Frank Myers, he was produced by Jimmy Nichols (former musical director for Faith Hill and Reba McEntire) and engineered/mixed by (also Grammy-award winner), Steve Marcantonio whose credentials include John Lennon, J. Geils, George Strait, Alabama and recently Thomas Rhett, Taylor Swift and StevenTyler. The songs became Michael’s new EP ‘Turn This Love Around’.
